Compassionate Caregiver for Young Adult with Cerebral Palsy
Position: Part-Time, Weekend Availability Required Flexible Hours
We are seeking dedicated and compassionate caregivers to provide in-home and community-based support for a vibrant, engaging young man with cerebral palsy and low vision. The client uses a power wheelchair for mobility and requires assistance with daily activities to ensure his comfort and well-being.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist with all activities of daily living (ADLs), including transfers to and from wheelchair, toileting, bathing, dressing, and meal preparation.
Support the client in attending appointments and participating in community activities.
Provide companionship and ensure the client's emotional and physical safety at all times.
Requirements:
Minimum of 2 year of caregiving experience, including providing assistance with ADLs.
Ability to pass state and criminal background checks.
High school diploma or GED preferred.
COVID-19 vaccinated and boosted.
Must live within a 30-minute commute of the Ambler-Fort Washington area or have reliable transportation.
Weekend availability and flexible hours are required.
