    Job Overview:

    We are seeking a highly analytical and detail-oriented Compensation Analyst with strong Excel (or similar spreadsheet software) expertise to join our Compensation Team. This role will focus on analyzing, designing, and administering compensation programs that align with the organization's goals, budget, and competitive market standards. The Compensation Analyst will ensure that all pay structures, bonuses, and incentives are competitive, equitable, and compliant with legal regulations, leveraging advanced spreadsheet tools to manage and analyze compensation data effectively. The Compensation Analyst will work with us in a temporary role for 3 to 6 months; an offer of full time employment may be extended after the temporary employment period.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Use advanced Excel (or similar spreadsheet software) skills to create complex formulas, pivot tables, macros, and data models for detailed compensation analysis and reporting.
    • Prepare and deliver compensation reports and analytics to senior leadership, providing insights on compensation trends and areas for improvement.
    • Develop and maintain detailed compensation dashboards and visualizations to communicate findings effectively.
    • Perform regular audits of compensation data to ensure accuracy and consistency across all departments.
    • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local wage laws, including overtime, minimum wage, and exempt/non-exempt classifications.
    • Participate in compensation surveys and benchmarking to keep compensation data up-to-date.

    Required Qualifications:

    • 2+ years of experience in compensation analysis or a related field.
    • Expertise in Microsoft Excel, including the ability to create complex formulas, pivot tables, macros, and data models.
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a high degree of attention to detail.
    • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Finance, or a related field is preferred.
