The New Washington State Bank is looking for a talented Compliance and CRA Associate to add to our team! This position helps ensure the organization complies with regulatory requirements and applicable policies and procedures governing business practices. They will collaborate with the Chief Compliance Officer in the identification, measurement, and monitoring of compliance risks within the institution. This position will also perform reviews of various compliance regulations including the Bank Secrecy Act. Additional duties may also include assisting with bank wide training and bank policies as deemed necessary by the Chief Compliance Officer.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Includes but are not limited to: currency transaction processing, research and resolve AML system alerts, OFAC, High risk customer reviews and various other compliance monitoring.
Develops, implements, and monitors the bank’s CRA program
Continually assesses and identifies potential BSA and compliance risks within the bank.
Conducts bank wide compliance and Bank Secrecy Act training.
Provides support to the Chief Compliance Officer and members of senior management by assisting with various bank related projects/tasks.
Ability to communicate effectively and assist staff with questions/issues that may arise regarding compliance and their responsibility in following its guidelines.
Follows all company policies and practices and sets an example for others in the bank to follow.
Stays up to date with changing regulations and laws and attends additional training/education when needed.

Comfortable with computer programs and willingness to learn in order to excel in use of all systems including core system, CSI, Word, Excel, etc.
Education and Experience
High School Diploma or GED equivalent required
Associate Degree or additional higher education preferred
Minimum of 3 years of banking experience in BSA/AML/OFAC and/or branch operations and procedures preferred.
