Compose.ly is looking for an excellent freelance editor who loves digital content as much as we do!
If you’re interested in editing and delivering consistent, high-quality content across industries for a variety of clients (including Fortune 500 companies) and working on special tasks and projects that’ll help your editorial skills shine, then you’re in the right place.
We're looking for freelance editors who can commit to working 40 hours a week on a contract basis.

RESPONSIBILITIES
EDITING
Proof, edit, and rework blog articles, whitepapers, web copy, and more across industries
SPECIAL PROJECTS
On assignment from our Sr. Content Editor, work on a variety of in-house projects that require editorial expertise but aren't necessarily editing, including:
Content evaluations of revisions, client concerns, and negative feedback trends
Helping support the team in responding to freelance writer and editor queries
Assisting in building style sheets for individual clients
Provide freelance writer and editor recruitment support
CONTENT IMPROVEMENT
Provide feedback and guidance to writers specializing in a wide range of industries
Rate writers and editors and record feedback to help create dedicated writer teams for clients
Stay up to date with the latest trends in SEO and content marketing
REQUIREMENTS
Only individuals who are proficient in English will be considered
Successful completion of our grammar, spelling, and editing assessments
Bachelor's degree or higher
Familiarity with AP Stylebook

A degree in English, Linguistics, Journalism, or other relevant fields
