JOB TITLE: SUPPLY CHAIN SPECIALIST (WITH SAP EXPERIENCE)

LOCATION: INDIANAPOLIS, INDIANA : 46241

DURATION: 02+ MONTHS CONTRACT/ CAN BE EXTENDED

MONDAY - FRIDAY, 8AM - 5PM, WITH POTENTIAL FOR ROUGHLY 10 HOURS OF OVERTIME

PAY RATE : $17/HR

RESPONSIBILITIES: 

• MANAGE 3RD PARTY FOOD DISPLAY/SHIPPER BUILD DIRECTION WITHIN THE DISTRIBUTION CENTER.

• Coordinates with the 3PL daily to ensure setup of a beverage production schedule in conjunction with the Hot Fill Production Planner

• Perform daily review of short lead/no forecast requests and analyze material availability to determine if displays can be accommodated on date requested--requires constant communication with Customer Service, Delivery Processors, Material Planners, Transportation, and Customization Supervisor.

• Create weekly Foods schedule in conjunction with 3rd party production team.

• Manage all customization activities within SAP in compliance with procedures, SOPs, timing and guidelines.

• Monitor product availability for all components used in customization builds; work with site IRP/production planner as required.

• Manage inventory days on hand for food items.

• Monitor aging inventory for components and displays.

• Supervise physical inventory of raw materials. Manage excess and obsolete material and scrap requests.

• MONITOR MATERIAL INVENTORY DISCREPANCIES BETWEEN WMS AND SAP, MONITOR ZNON INVENTORY LEVELS, INVESTIGATE CONFIRMATION/BACKFLUSH ERRORS.

• Process weekly goods receipts for all production at the facility.

• Execute MRP (material replenishment planning) in SAP for beverage materials and specialty pallet ordering for food builds using Planning Tools.

• Work with Cost Accounting Team to manage all changes and new additions to build processes (BOM updates).

• Supervise all rework projects in conjunction with Inventory Control Specialists.

• Provide back-up coverage for Indianapolis, IN Service Center Customization Coordinator as needed

QUALIFICATIONS / REQUIREMENTS :

• 2+ YEARS OF EXPERIENCE IN WAREHOUSING OPERATIONS, DISTRIBUTION OR SUPPLY CHAIN FUNCTION.

• Highly developed sense of responsibility and results orientation.

• Must be able to balance multiple priorities in a fast paced, dynamic environment.

• SAP EXPERIENCE IS A PLUS.

• Production experience a plus.

• Computer literacy in word processing, spread sheets; aptitude to extract information from all internal systems for reporting purposes.

• Must work and participate effectively in a team environment with diverse personalities.

• Must possess strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to develop and maintain relationships.

• Strong communication skills including good verbal, written and listening skills.

• Ability to communicate effectively, internally and externally, to all levels of management.

• Highly self-motivated and self-managed, with excellent prioritization and organizational skills. Ability to work independently.

• Must possess strong analytical skills including problem resolution and analysis.

• Ability to consistently achieve desired results, manage multiple tasks, set priorities, and act decisively.
