    Computer Aided Drafting and Design Technology Adjunct Faculty:

    Role: Instructs courses in drafting technology using computers and current computer software. Instructs in a variety of settings and formats, including dual credit, online, hybrids, and occasionally weekends/evenings.

    The salary for this position is $675/per credit hour.

    Responsibilities:

    75% Teaches no more than 19 TRS hours of Computer Aided Design and Drafting courses per long Semester (Fall/Spring); meets classes as assigned and provides assistance to students outside of class.

    10% Develops and modifies curriculum as necessary, participates in as a team member in Industrial Technology department as needed, complies with all faculty responsibilities as outlined in college policies and procedures.

    10% Contributes to the campus assessment process by measuring and reporting student learning outcomes as directed to meet THECB Core Objectives and SACSCOC requirements.

    5% Performs other duties as assigned by the Dean and Department Chair.

    Qualifications:

    Experience: Requires 3 plus years of professional experience as a design drafter to include orthographic projection, sectioning, auxiliary views, dimensioning, production tolerancing, and descriptive geometry. Demonstrated ability in the use of AUTOCAD and MicroStation CAD Systems, and related concepts used in Drafting & Design Technology. Requires knowledge, experience, and understanding of AUTOCAD, Autodesk Inventor, Revit Architecture, Creo, SolidWorks, 3D AUTOCAD, Geometrical Dimensioning, and Tolerance.

    Education: Associate (or higher) degree with at least two (2) years of related (non-teaching) work experience in a qualifying field (i.e., CADD/Industrial Design).

    Other Skills: The preferred candidate will have at least two years of teaching experience and experience tracking student learning outcomes, analyzing resultant data, implementing improvement plans, and knowledge and experience in mechanical or civil drafting.
