Duties/Responsibilities

1. Management of and timely response to web help desk tickets (expectation is a ticket is responded to within 24 hours of receipt on a non-urgent issue, urgent issues should be followed up on immediately and if travel is involved response within 4 hours).
2. Support of the Caliber CAD, RMS and Mobile system for the Maryland State Police (MSP), Maryland Transportation Authority Police (MDTA), Maryland Transit Administration Police (MTA) and Natural Resources Police (NRP).
3. Management and support of CAD RMS training lab.
4. On-site support of barracks and allied agency communication centers (up to 1600 miles per year).
5. Jasper Reports support and design.
6. Records management audits (Monthly).
7. Systems analysis and improvement initiatives.
8. Attendance at MSP ITD meetings (as required).
9. After-hours support (as required)
10. Documentation for CAD/RMS/Mobile.

Deliverables will include, but are not limited to: a) timely response to help desk tickets. b) troubleshooting and documentation of incidents and problems . c) all systems maintained and updated. d) maintain accurate inventory documentation. e) user training guides and videos.

Education: A Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university with a major in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Business, or other related scientific or technical discipline or three (3) years of equivalent experience in a related field. A Master's Degree is preferred.

General Experience: Must have eight (8) years of computer experience in at least two of the following disciplines: system analysis, system programming, application programming, and equipment analysis.

Specialized Experience:

At least five (5) years of experience either as a computer hardware or systems software specialist or as a systems analyst with duties relating to the evaluation of third and fourth generation of current state-of-the-art computer hardware and software and its ability to support specific requirements for hardware and software evaluation, system management, or large-scale system development and maintenance.

At least one (1) year of experience deploying a law enforcement CAD, RMS, and Mobile system
