We're hiring a Mortgage Loan Officer Assistant who will work directly with and support our loan origination staff. You’ll track leads daily, schedule appointments for the mortgage team, prepare paperwork, and respond to customer inquiries on transactions as needed. Note: This is a remote position requiring the standard hours of 8 am - 5 pm MST. Participation in a monthly rotating on-call weekend support schedule 1-2x/month is required for this position. Responsibilities: • Follow up and respond to customer and in-house inquiries on transactions as needed in order to provide superior customer service. • Determine client qualifications and make recommendations for loan structuring. • Assemble loan documentation as required and necessary for verifications and underwriting such as loan files, loan packages, credit reports, and additional mortgage application paperwork. • Verify all loan package documentation received is accurate and complete in accordance with company policy and procedures and report any discrepancies to the loan originator/ loan officer. Qualifications: Minimum Qualifications: • High school diploma or GED. • 1+ years of experience working in a remote setting. • 1+ years of experience working in a Loan Officer Assistant or similar role. • Excellent written and verbal communication skills. • Intermediate proficiency with the Microsoft Office Suite. • Experience working within the Encompass platform. Preferred Qualifications: • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree. • 2+ years of experience working in a remote setting. • 3+ years of experience working in a Loan Officer Assistant or similar role. • Excellent written and verbal communication skills. • Advanced proficiency with the Microsoft Office Suite. • Advanced proficiency with Encompass. • Experience working for a lending team that services both retail and builder pipelines. • Ability to identify and resolve problems in a timely, objective, and confidential manner. • A designated work-from-home space free from interruption. • Must work a schedule of 8 am–5 pm MST, M-F. • If not currently licensed, must be willing to obtain NMLS licensure within 6 months of being hired. Compensation: $60,000 - $90,000 yearly
