Responsibilities
•
Advise and assist in preparing conventional bids to owner
•
Assist in receiving and evaluating major material quotations prior to bid day and on bid day
•
Work as lead estimator on individual projects including takeoffs, pricing, bid summaries, GC's and final bid day preparations
•
Complete post mortem review of bid projects where we were unsuccessful
•
Take responsibility for review of project bid's accuracy and communication of construction techniques and strategies used in bid preparation on successful bids with Project Management prior to project commencement
•
Prepare and make estimate transfer to budget
•
Perform value engineering for successful bids, as required by owner
•
Develop and maintain Vendor database
•
Develop and maintain cost history on different types of projects
•
Conduct preconstruction using the PPD process
•
Assist operations with buyout
•
Cultivate Subcontract relationships
•
Solicits and maintains communication with vendors
•
Prepares bid packages
•
Transmits addenda and other bid information
•
Has a thorough understanding of the scopes for assigned, project specific subcontractor
•
Develops RFI's and clarifications
•
Assist with turnover of estimating package to Management
•
Manage assigned personnel, if applicable
