    Job Summary

    We are seeking a hardworking and reliable Concrete Finisher to join our team.

    Responsibilities

    Placing forms that hold concrete to ensure the required depth and pitch is achieved

    Removing edges on expansion joints and sides

    Installing anchor bolts, steel plates and other fixtures in freshly poured concrete

    Polishing surfaces using smoothing materials, abrasive tools and surfacing machines

    Aligning forms for sidewalks, curbs and gutters

    Waterproofing, damp-proofing and restoring concrete surfaces

    Compacting materials using power vibrators to create leveled bases

    Finishing concrete surfaces with rough or smooth patterns depending on the customer's preference of stamp design.

    Signaling truck drivers and moving chutes to facilitate pouring concrete onto forms

    Casting and spreading concrete to patch voids

    Applying hardening and sealing compounds to cure the surface of concrete

    Report on progress

    Identify and mitigate any potential issues that may arise

    Qualifications

    Previous experience as a Concrete Finisher which involves placing forms to control where concrete is being poured and assisting with the spreading of the concrete as it is being poured to ensure that the finished results will be level.

    Knowledge of stripping forms after concrete placement, and several other tasks as required.

    He/she is responsible for carrying out tasks which may include cutting expansion joints, filling voids, repairing the surfaces of concretes, ensuring that surfaces are finished to ensure good looks and avoid slipping.

    Experience in using a wide variety of tools when working on projects, such as saws, trowels, screeds, jointers and drills, etc.

    Must be able to performs the function of regularly utilizing the use of power tools to restructure concrete and smooth it out, as well as cleaning and maintaining tools, and so on.

    He/she is also responsible for finishing the top surfaces of concrete with the use of relevant tools and water to arrive at the desired texture.

    Individuals are expected to possess and demonstrate some necessary skills or attributes such as good communication skills, well-developed physical strength, and highly detail-oriented mind.
