Performs somewhat complex to complex configuration and data management assignments, requiring use of applied concepts, principles, theories, practices, and techniques.
*Principal Duties and Responsibilities (Essential functions)
- Apply knowledge of the fundamentals of configuration management to establish and maintain consistency of a product’s performance, functional, and physical attributes with its requirements, design, and operational information throughout its life
- Assist in the development and management of all CDRL requirements. Participates in Government reviews/meetings/working groups as applicable and in Government and industry teams for the resolution of complex configuration management issues.
- Provide assistance in the preparation and maintenance of CDRLs for inclusion in weapon system contractor RFPs, contracts, and contract modifications.
- Assist in reviewing and evaluating OEM proposals and reports for configuration status accounting of assigned systems/subsystem(s) and compliance with Government technical data requirements.
- Provide support to the DR function operation of the Joint Deficiency Reporting System (JDRS) or similar system for originating, to include assisting with receiving, processing and tracking DRs; establishing and maintaining DR/Material Improvement Project (MIP) files and databases; providing disposition instruction for exhibits; and assisting in the planning and conduct of MIP Review Board meetings.
- Assist with establishing and maintaining databases and assist in the development and analysis of key program metrics. Develops and integrates risk management plans and strategies and support program briefings.
- Assist in generating and managing configuration management, data management, and risk management processes and plans; support environmental assessments, support design reviews, TIMs, interface control meetings, program management reviews, audits and other technical reviews; and have thorough knowledge of DR procedures and processes.

- Prior maintenance background with configuration and data management.
- Experience maintaining configuration status accounting databases and records to reflect the configuration status of baseline documentation and fielded systems and equipment
- Knowledge of the Joint Deficiency Reporting System (JDRS) or similar system for originating, to include assisting with receiving, processing and tracking Deficiency Reports
