    POSITION SUMMARY:

    The Talent Acquisition Specialist will drive strategic recruitment efforts with a strong emphasis on accountability and execution of full lifecycle recruiting for a global company. This position requires strong problem-solving skills, creative thinking, and maintaining key knowledge of the dynamic and competitive talent landscape, including market availability and trends. This position will also support the overall human resources team.

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Partner with hiring managers to learn and understand positions and discuss current and future manpower needs to prepare and implement a recruitment strategy primarily focusing on professional, administrative, and technical employees.
    • Stay abreast of and share internal and external trends with managers, and provide supportive and constructive feedback to identify and secure the best talent.
    • Track, maintain, and share recruitment metrics to set realistic expectations and positively influence recruitment approaches.
    • Create and maintain job descriptions ensuring they are updated, and key knowledge and skills about each position.
    • Support all Roeslein domestic and global entities with their lifecycle recruiting efforts.
    • Work closely with online resources, colleges, career fairs, and other sources to find candidates, arrange opportunities, and support and grow pipeline relationships for Roeslein (includes domestic travel, predominantly in the Midwest).
    • Build relationships and provide information on the company and job opportunities to potential candidates; active and passive.
    • Interview applicants to obtain work history, education, knowledge, skills, and abilities via phone, Teams, and in-person interviews; schedule interviews for hiring managers and other key employees; coordinate travel and lodging for selected applicants; conduct reference checks on candidates.
    • Regularly correspond with candidates to notify them of employment consideration and our hiring process.
    • Report on employment activity and recruitment expenditures for budgetary control.
    • Train hiring managers and interviewers on legal and effective interviewing.
    • Collaborate with marketing to maintain our employer brand and work to continuously improve and grow it.
    • Support and lead continuous improvement of talent acquisition and human resource projects.
    • Travel domestically and internationally up to 10% per year.
    • Develop and maintain relationships with employees at all locations.
    • Conduct activities in a safe and healthy manner and work in accordance with established safety and company requirements.

    OTHER DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Create and maintain Standard Operating Procedures for recruitment programs and processes at each entity.
    • Support special projects in the Human Resources Department.
    • Promote a positive working environment to achieve the organization’s goals.
    • Perform other duties as assigned.

    WORK ENVIRONMENT:

    Work is performed in an office. All employees are required to follow safety standards and wear all personal protective equipment in designated areas.


    PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

    The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this position, the employee is regularly required to walk, stand, use hands and fingers, grip, handle or feel; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl; and talk and hear. Ability to lift and carry 10 lbs. on a regular basis is required.

    KNOWLEDGE / SKILL / ABILITY / EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE:

    • Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Business, Marketing, or a related field is required.
    • At least five (5) years of technical and/or professional recruiting experience is required.
    • Must possess considerable skills in interviewing techniques and a good knowledge and understanding of technical functions and responsibilities.
    • Knowledge of United States employment law is required, as is the ability to learn Missouri, Illinois, Colorado, and California employment law and adhere to legal hiring practices.
    • Strong time management, initiative, and critical thinking skills are required.
    • Ability to understand and communicate our business needs in an understandable and succinct manner.
    • Excellent collaboration and oral and written communication skills are required.
    • High attention to detail, organization, and planning skills are required.
    • Experience with a variety of sourcing methodology as well as social recruiting strategies and purposeful relationships for networking using resume databases, boolean search techniques, and networking with professional organizations.
    • The ability to effectively learn and acquire new information, knowledge, and skills is a necessity.
    • Computer skills and an in-depth knowledge of Microsoft Windows-based programs, applicant tracking systems, and LinkedIn is required.
    • Requires effective time management skills, ability to meet deadlines, high level of professional conduct, change management abilities, and ability to work independently and with a team.
    • Must have a valid driver’s license and be able to travel domestically; predominantly to career fairs in the Midwest.
    • Ability to effectively interact with co-workers, clients, vendors, and other business contacts.

  • Qualifications
    • Demonstrated creative problem solving skills.
    • GPA of 3.2 or above preferred.
    • Experience in Microsoft Office.
    • Excellent oral, written, and presentation communication skills.
    • Currently enrolled in an accredited college/university degree program pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or other similar engineering or scientific majors.
    • Knowledgeable in some of the following areas: software programming, SolidWorks 3D computer-aided design, analog / digital design, guidance & control, systems analysis, or systems integration.
    • Have coursework, interest, motivation and experience that provide the foundation to develop an expertise in one or more of the above engineering specialties.
    • Completed at least sophomore year of college/university.
    • Demonstrated ability to work in a team environment.
    • General knowledge and understanding of mathematical modeling and analysis methods.
    • Programming skills (e.g. EXCEL, LabVIEW, MathCad, MATLAB, Simulink, C++, or equivalent).
    • Must be able to work full-time (40 hours per week) for a minimum of 10 weeks (June 3rd to August 9th) during the Summer of 2024.
    • Must be legally authorized to work in the U.S., visa sponsorship not available.
