    Job Summary

    We are seeking a motivated Construction Apprentice to join our team. We are a local Deck Builder focusing on high end residential deck construction and outdoor living. In this role, you will support worksite operations through manual labor tasks. This may include keeping the worksite clean through the collection of trash, operating power tools, setting up temporary structures, or other necessary tasks. The ideal candidate is a hard worker with the ability to meet the physical demands of the job.

    Responsibilities

    1. Assist in the preparation of construction sites by cleaning and organizing materials.

    2. Load and unload construction materials, tools, and equipment.

    3. Transport materials to and from the work area as directed by the supervisor.

    4. Provide support to lead carpenters and other team members by holding materials, tools, or assisting in measurements.

    5. Perform basic carpentry tasks, such as cutting lumber or assembling components under supervision.

    6. Operate hand tools and power tools safely and efficiently.

    7. Assist in the installation of support structures, ensuring stability and safety.

    8. Follow safety guidelines and protocols to maintain a secure work environment.

    9. Clean and maintain tools and equipment after use.

    10. Dispose of construction debris and waste properly.

    11. Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth workflow and project completion.

    12. Communicate effectively with supervisors and team members to receive and understand instructions.

    13. Adhere to company policies and procedures at all times.

    14. Assist in maintaining a clean and organized work site, promoting efficiency and safety.

    15. Perform other tasks and duties as assigned by the supervisor to support the overall success of the deck building projects.

    Qualifications

    Ability to meet the physical demands of the job, including lifting heavy objects, digging, and standing for long periods

    Strong attention to detail

    Excellent hand-eye coordination

    Ability to adhere to all safety rules and regulations

    Knowledge of power tools and industrial machinery is preferred

    Strong teamwork and interpersonal skills

    Additional certifications or apprenticeship experience is preferred but not necessary
