    Job Description

    AECOM is seeking an experienced Construction Engineer interested in joining a vibrant team in delivering major and minor bridge replacement projects throughout the State of Georgia on an existing program management contract. This Construction Engineer will work with the project management team responsible for: 1) holding constructability reviews and creating reports during the preconstruction phase, 2) reviewing cost estimates, and 3) liaising with the client's District Construction. This role requires regular engagement with a large program management staff and key client stakeholders across multiple departments. This is a hybrid work option role.

    Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

    • Work with the program management team to schedule constructability reviews for bridge replacement projects.
    • Manage reviews and prepare reports.
    • Manage and coordinate the flow of communication.
    • Control costs and manage the schedule.
    • Implement and monitor safety programs.
    • Coordinate periodically with the client's District Construction liaison on Let projects.

    Specific responsibilities will include:

    • Attend preconstruction meetings.
    • Be accountable for developing, managing, and reporting on safety, scope, schedule, and budget.
    • Share lessons learned with relevant stakeholders.
    • Regularly report internally on project status and costs to meet KPIs and budget requirements.
    • Serve as the project's single point of contact for construction and communicate delivery status and progress to the Program Manager.
    • Coordinate meetings and activities of program team members, including vendors, and integrate lessons learned.
  • Qualifications

    Qualifications

    Minimum:

    • BA/BS and 6 years of related experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education

    Preferred:

    • Experience in construction and project management, including partnering with multiple stakeholders.
    • Experienced in business and meeting communications, including presentation and written skills.
    • Possess knowledge and experience with a broad variety of construction means and methods.
    • Construction engineering experience working proactively with team members and stakeholders.
    • Understanding and experience with design specifications and drawings.
