    Job Description

    AECOM is currently seeking a Construction Engineer to join or Program and Project Management team in Glen Allen, VA.

    Responsibilities:

    • Under general supervision, performs routine duties.
    • Displays knowledge and abilities to evaluate, select and apply standard engineering techniques, procedures and criteria to meet basic engineering and construction specifications.
    • Displays applications of sound professional judgment on details of work.
    • Independently performs walk-downs and inspections of installed commodities to assure conformance with specifications and design.
    • Performs quantity surveys for tracking and reporting.
    • May provide technical direction to drafters, technicians, and surveyors.
  • Qualifications

    Qualifications

    Minimum Requirements:

    • BA/BS in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering or Civil Engineering + 2 years of related experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education
    • Valid US Driver’s License and as a condition of employment, pass AECOM's Motor Vehicle Records review.

    Preferred Requirements:

    • Master's degree in mechanical engineering, electrical engineering or civil engineering or related field
    • 2+ years' experience in implementing or managing planning, design, and/or construction projects
    • Advanced degree in a technical, sustainability, or business field
    • Ability to review facility engineering design and construction submittals
    • Experience developing solutions or working with a variety of engineering/construction industry software packages (e.g., power system modeling software, building automation analytics platforms)
    • EIT
    • CACM certification
