Our company is currently seeking a "Construction Estimator" experienced in Commercial Construction types: new construction, Retail & Office Fit-outs, renovation, and Remodels. Candidate must be willing to work on a fast-paced work environment that features collaborative problem solving with a variety of workers and managers, and strong customer service skills. The Construction Estimator will be working closely with the Construction Project Manager and General Contractors to ensure that all projects are on track with their budgets, timelines, quality standards and safety regulations.

    Experience Requirements: 5-10 years of experience or more On-site construction experience Design build experience Pre-construction experience

    Responsibilities:

    Estimate quantities for a variety of construction projects.

    Calculate costs for labor, materials, and equipment.

    Determine timing and cost of construction projects.

    Coordinate with architects, engineers, and contractors during the estimating process.

    Check construction progress during the course of a project.

    Estimate all Trades: Carpentry, Flooring, Drywall, Millwork, Paint, MEP’s, Site Civil, Concrete, Masonry, Steel, Site improvements

    Estimate labor hours for in-house employees: Carpenters, Laborers

    Work with Assistant PM, Project Coordinator, Project Engineer, Site Super

    Review and Qualify quotes from General Contractors, Contractor, Suppliers

    Bid leveling for multiple Contractors

    Blueprint plan review and Material Takeoffs

    Scope review

    Scope writing

    RFP’s

    Estimating

    Bid deadlines

    Bid packages

    Material and Labor breakdowns

    Run job meetings with Owners, PM’s, Client, Architects, Engineers, and Township

    Liaison with Clients, architects, engineers, vendors, suppliers

    Work for Owner / Developer

    Contracts, AIA, change orders

    Budgeting

    Purchasing materials

    Invoicing

    Construction Documentation

    Project size from $5,000 to $5,000,000 or higher

    Good communication, written and organizational skills

    Good computer skills: Word, Excel, Adobe Editor, MS Project, MS Outlook, Estimating software

    Work with RS Means cost books/online

    Work with Estimating software

    Work with Takeoff software

    High volume & Quick deadlines

    Design build experience

    Pre-construction experience

    Job Type: Full-time

    Salary: $100,000.00- $150,000 per year
