Construction Estimator - Commercial GC - Base Salary to 120k/year - Dallas, TX

They are seeking a Construction Estimator to join our team in Texas. The Construction Estimator will play a critical role in the pre-construction process, providing accurate and competitive cost estimates for a wide range of commercial and industrial projects. The ideal candidate will have 5+ years of estimating experience within the commercial construction industry, with a strong understanding of various construction methodologies, materials, and industry standards.
Responsibilities:
Prepare detailed cost estimates by analyzing plans, specifications, and other project documents.
Conduct thorough take-offs, material and labor cost evaluations, and develop comprehensive bid proposals.
Collaborate with project managers, engineers, architects, and clients to clarify scope, specifications, and other project requirements.
Assess potential project risks and propose mitigation strategies to minimize financial exposure.
Review subcontractor and supplier bids to ensure completeness and accuracy and negotiate pricing as necessary.
Develop and maintain relationships with subcontractors, suppliers, and other key stakeholders.
Participate in pre-bid meetings, site visits, and bid openings as required.
Continuously research and stay updated on industry trends, material costs, and new technologies.
Prepare bid packages and submit them on time, ensuring all required documentation is included.
Support the project team in value engineering efforts to optimize costs without compromising quality.
Qualifications:
5+ years of experience as an Estimator within the commercial construction industry.
Bachelor's Degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
Strong understanding of construction methods, materials, and industry best practices.
Proficiency in estimating software such as ProEst, Bluebeam, or similar tools, along with Microsoft Office Suite.
Familiarity with project management processes and documentation.
Compensation:
Base salary in the 100k – 120k/year range
