    • The Construction Estimator will take charge of managing estimates from start to finish, working closely with clients, engineers, and vendors to drive project success. The Construction Estimator will oversee a talented estimating assistant, recruit and train new staff, and ensure seamless workflow within the department. The Construction Estimator will be responsible for handling everything from quantity takeoffs to reviewing proposals and ensuring accuracy in cost estimates. The Construction Estimator will be vital in guiding a collaborative team, working with stakeholders from all corners of the industry, including project managers, contractors, architects, and subcontractors.

    Responsibilities:

    • Collaborate with estimators, business development managers, project managers, construction managers, engineers, architects, owners, contractors, and subcontractors to ensure a clear understanding of scope-of-work, changes, RFIs, and cost estimate adjustments prior to proposals.
    • Conduct quantity takeoff surveys, participate in pre-bid meetings, and provide detailed information to management and the peer review team to finalize estimates and proposals.
    • Review requests for proposals, plans, amendments, and other documentation to define scope of work and establish costs, preparation timelines, schedules, materials, design, and labor estimates, ensuring accuracy and competitive bidding.
    • Consult with clients, vendors, and construction team members to discuss, formulate, and refine estimates while resolving any issues.
    • Maintain the company directory of manufacturers, suppliers, contractors, and subcontractors to ensure its integrity.
    • Work with project managers to develop work crews, set production rates, and maintain a database comparing actual direct and indirect costs to estimated costs (i.e., comparing estimates to completed work).
    • Advocate for and support our clients' safety program and best practices.
    • Coordinate internal and external resources to streamline workflow and improve efficiency.
    • Facilitate communication between upper management and employees regarding active estimates and opportunities.

    Qualifications:

    • Preferred experience in waterproofing, masonry, and concrete repair/restoration.
    • Knowledgeable in procurement of construction services, contract awards and buy-outs, drafting RFIs, AIA standard documents and exhibits, and creating appropriate contract documentation.
    • Familiar with industry-standard practices, materials, techniques, and general code requirements.
    • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or similar software.
    • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Sales, Business, or related field OR
    • At least 5+ years of related experience required.

    Compensation:

    • Base salary to 110k/year plus bonus
