We are a leader in the recession-proof restoration industry seeking someone who has estimating experience (preferably using an estimating software like Xactimate) and is comfortable working in a fast-paced environment, enjoys meeting and speaking with people, has excellent communication skills, and can successfully multi-task. Primary Responsibilities
b. Educate customers on the construction process
c. Work with customers to understand desired upgrades/changes
d. Ensure that estimates meet insurance client requirements.
a. Analyze labor, material, and time requirements for a project
b. Using state-of-the-art technology to create an accurate sketch and initial scope of work for construction projects.
c. Deliver a consistent and well-defined initial estimate
d. Recognize project constraints and/or needed upgrades
e. Work with other members of the construction team to price bid items and obtain quotes from sub-contractors as needed
a. Identify and document finalized project scope of work
b. Work with outside resources as necessary to complete accurate estimates (i.e. Structural Engineers, ITEL, Electrical Inspectors, etc.)
c. Assemble accurate and well-organized estimates d. Follow-up with the customer to get their approval
e. Deliver and communicate approved estimates to Construction Team
Necessary Experience and Skill Set
MIN 2 years previous construction estimating and/or P&C insurance adjusting experience
Superb customer service track record
Effective written and oral communication
Strong math skills
Comfortable learning new technology. Extremely helpful if proficient in use of Xactimate™ estimating software or at a minimum willingness to learn
Critical thinking and problem-solving skills
Comfortable asking for the job when necessary
Team Player
Must have a DL and good driving record
Formal Education/Training
Xactimate level 1 and 2 certifications preferred. (or willingness to obtain at company expense)
Physical and Work Environment Requirements
Walking and/or standing throughout the day. Frequent driving and sitting. Occasionally climbing ladders. The employee is occasionally exposed to extreme conditions such as heat. The noise level in the work environment and jobsites can be loud.
Normal Working Hours: FT/Monday – Friday 7:30am – 5:00pm (occasional after hours as needed)
