About the Role: Touchstone Group Construction is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Construction Estimator to join our team in Chicago, IL. In this role, you will be responsible for preparing accurate cost estimates for various construction projects, analyzing project requirements, and preparing and submitting successful bids. Your expertise will play a pivotal role in project planning while working in tandem with the CEO. Responsibilities: • Analyze blueprints, specifications, and project plans to determine material, labor, and time requirements. • Prepare and present detailed cost estimates, including materials, equipment, labor, and subcontractor costs. • Evaluate project risks, constraints, and contingencies to ensure cost accuracy. • Collaborate with project managers, architects, and contractors to gather necessary information and resolve discrepancies. • Maintain and update cost databases, tracking market trends and pricing for materials and labor. • Assist CEO with bid preparation and contract negotiations. • Review and recommend cost-effective alternatives and solutions to optimize project efficiency. Qualifications: • Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Construction Estimator or in a similar role. • Strong understanding of construction processes, materials, and methods. • Proficiency in estimating software. • Excellent analytical and mathematical skills with a keen attention to detail. • Strong organizational and time-management skills to handle multiple projects simultaneously. • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field (preferred). Compensation: $80,000 plus project bonuses and incentives
