Responsibilities:
- Schedule and conduct inspections, oversee field testing, and manage commissioning.
- Assist with construction change orders and prepare weekly/monthly reports.
- Manage and maintain reports, narratives, quantities, logs, and time/material tickets.
- Attend progress meetings and distribute minutes.
- Ensure safety, permit compliance, and coordinate with nearby projects.
- Monitor contractor adherence to plans and safety protocols.
- Coordinate utility shutdowns and work to minimize public disruptions.
- Prepare punch lists with the owner at project completion.
Requirements:
- Preferred Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering.
- Preferred New York State Professional Engineering license.
- Over 10 years of experience as a construction inspector.
- Preferred OSHA 30-hour safety course certification or ability to obtain it.
- Experience with high and low voltage systems.
