Job Summary: Construction Manager – Reconstruction We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Construction Manager to lead our reconstruction department. This role focuses on managing the restoration and reconstruction of units impacted by fire, water, or mold damage, ensuring projects are completed efficiently and to the highest standards. The work primarily involves coordinating reconstruction efforts, including structural repairs, interior finishes, and other restoration tasks. The Construction Manager will oversee daily operations, including budget and scope management, scheduling, staff supervision, and quality control. Collaborating closely with supervisors, schedulers, and field carpenters, this role proactively addresses challenges, ensures adherence to company standards, and fosters a culture of excellence through training and development. Responsibilities: Key Responsibilities : • Manage department budgets, scopes, and project schedules. • Oversee supervisors, schedulers, and carpenters to ensure quality work completion. • Conduct weekly and bi-weekly team meetings to review progress and address issues. • Monitor job performance and provide training for supervisors and field carpenters. • Handle escalations, troubleshoot problem jobs, and ensure timely resolutions. • Review inspection reports and maintain proper project documentation. • Prepare daily job estimates and budgets. • Ensure field personnel have the necessary tools and equipment for efficiency. • Participate in hiring, training, and disciplinary actions as needed. • Lead monthly ride-alongs to provide on-the-job training for supervisors. Critical Drivers for Success : • Timely completion of projects within budget and scope. • High client satisfaction through quality work and proactive problem-solving. • Strong team collaboration and alignment with company goals. • Continuous staff development and effective resource allocation. Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) : • Budget Adherence : Percentage of projects completed within approved budgets. • Project Timeliness : Ratio of jobs completed on or ahead of schedule. • Quality Control : Number of jobs passing final inspections without revisions. Qualifications: Skills and Requirements : • Proven experience in reconstruction or project management roles. • Exceptional organizational, leadership, and communication skills. • Proficiency with scheduling and performance tracking tools (e.g., Align, Metronome, any job management tool). Compensation: $90,000 - $125,000 yearly
