POSITION OVERVIEW
A Construction Project Manager will be primarily responsible for the successful and efficient completion of projects as sold to our clients. You will lead the construction team and subcontractors, providing oversight of their assigned responsibilities. The right candidate will consider the numerous complexities of each project and position our resources to ensure efficient and accurate execution.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Review sold projects to ensure they meet our production standards, application details, and installation guidelines in an effort to prevent oversights and delays.
Review construction drawings and provide insight and feedback for internal and 3rd party approvals.
Schedule internal and external resources to achieve proper workflow on all active projects per the targeted timeline.
Attend the Weekly Production Meeting and provide feedback, updates, and recommendations for active and upcoming projects.
Develop jobsite production management goals and execute a plan of action to complete within established timelines.
Inspect jobsites daily to ensure they are clean and safe; processes, procedures and installations are being implemented correctly; work is on schedule; and expected quality standards are being met.
Ensure all design plan and project related details are clearly identified and accurately communicated to the crews, trade partners, and vendors.
Provide Production Team and clients with daily updates on the status of all active projects.
Manage onsite materials and labor resources to ensure job costing goals are met within established parameters.
Conduct Pre-Construction Meetings with customers, crew members, and any key tradesman, ensuring everyone has a clear understanding of the project scope of work, details to be implemented, logistics associated with the project, and timeline for project completion.
Successfully execute project closing procedures and conduct Job Close Meetings with customers.
Manage all warranty items ensuring adequate remediation in a timely manner.
Provide leadership, instruction, and developmental guidance for assigned onsite team members.
Provide regular and appropriate feedback to production personnel and crews in order improve work quality and the client experience.
Manage project quality control measures and applications ensuring installation practices are completed per established guidelines and details.
When requested, meet with Sales/Design staff to provide assistance and guidance on design elements, detail implementations, and structural applications which will affect design plans or job estimates.
QUALIFICATIONS
A minimum of 7 years of Residential construction management experience is required (10+ years preferred).
A minimum of 7+ years of carpentry (framing, boxing/siding, trim, window and door) experience required.
Project or Construction Management degree preferred, but extensive, relative job experience will be considered in lieu of degree.
A high standard for customer service within the residential building or remodeling industry required.
Exceptional organizational skills that include the ability to multitask on several projects at once are required.
Exceptional verbal and written communication skills are required.
Strong Time Management skills are required.
Strong desktop and mobile technology skills essential. Intermediate Microsoft Office experience is preferred.
Exceptional problem-solving skills relating to residential carpentry applications, outdoor structures, and hardscape installations required.
The ability to recognize and understand how design applications may impact and subvert storm water management is necessary.
Must possess the ability to manage, coordinate, communicate, instruct, and provide guidance to tradesmen personnel.
Must provide proof of auto insurance and a valid driver’s license.
