    Construction Manager - Historic Construction - Base Salary to 85k/year - Livingston, MT

    • Our client is a construction management firm that takes on interesting government projects throughout the US, including in historic preservation and marine construction. They work most frequently with federal agencies, and are currently hiring for a 1-2 year project they are bidding on in Yellowstone National Park, in the Mammoth Hot Springs and Old Faithful areas. Starting in spring 2025, scheduled to run until fall 2026 with extensions possible, and other projects nationwide available upon completion.
    • The Construction Manager role, while not bearing overall responsibility for the projects, will be observing, reporting, and acting closely in concert with the home office to help successfully manage historic preservation construction in Yellowstone Park. The Construction Manager will be ensuring adherence to the contracts, and providing oversight of schedule and costs. Relocation to Gardiner/Livingston area, or West Yellowstone area required, housing or camper vehicle spot provided.

    Responsibilities:

    • Attend construction quality control, progress, and other conferences and meetings
    • Verify quantities of all work in place, materials stored onsite and all skilled and non-skilled laborers onsite employed by the construction contractor or subcontractors
    • Observe work to ensure accordance with the construction contract, including project schedule and costs
    • Review, analyze and make recommendations including on preparation of cost estimates and time/schedule impacts
    • Provide full-time on-site presence on either Mammoth Hot Springs or Old Faithful historic preservation construction projects
    • Coordinate closely with the home office while they provide extensive administrative project support
    • Coordinate meetings with relevant on site personnel, including government representatives and private subcontractors

    Qualifications:

    • 3+ years construction experience required
    • OSHA 30 required
    • Government/federal construction experience preferred
    • Historic preservation experience preferred
    • Ability to manage projects and understand cost estimate breakdowns
    • Ability to read and interpret construction contract plans and specifications is crucial
    • Ability to work in and outside in all elements, on site in Yellowstone National Park for 15+ months
    • Ability to read blueprints and schematics
    • Proficiency in MS Office and MS Project

    Compensation:

    • Base salary in the 75k – 85k/year range
