Job Summary
We are seeking a hardworking and reliable Construction Manager to join our team. In this role, you will oversee all aspects of the construction projects and ensure they progress on schedule and within budget. The ideal candidate is an expert in building methods and has a proven track record of successful construction management projects.
Responsibilities
On-Site Supervision: Provide leadership and direction to on-site construction crews, ensuring adherence to project plans, safety protocols, and quality standards.
Quality Control: Conduct regular inspections of work in progress to verify compliance with design specifications, industry standards, and client expectations, addressing any issues or discrepancies promptly.
Schedule Management: Develop and maintain project schedules, monitoring progress, identifying potential delays or obstacles, and implementing corrective actions to keep projects on track.
Budget Management: Monitor project expenses, track costs against budget allocations, and identify opportunities to optimize resource utilization and minimize waste.
Client Communication: Serve as the primary point of contact for clients during the construction phase, providing regular updates on project progress, addressing inquiries or concerns, and ensuring satisfaction with the final results.
Risk Management: Identify and mitigate potential risks and safety hazards on-site, implementing preventive measures and safety protocols to protect personnel, property, and the environment.
Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate records of project activities, including daily logs, progress reports, change orders, and safety documentation, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and company policies.
Team Development: Mentor and train construction team members, fostering a culture of continuous learning, collaboration, and excellence in performance.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in construction management, engineering, or a related field is preferred
Previous experience as a Construction Manager
Deep understanding of construction management methods and processes
Advanced knowledge of construction methods, building products, and building codes
Strong leadership and crisis resolution skills
Familiar with Microsoft Excel and construction management software
Ability to break large projects into small steps
Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish Preferred but not required
