    Wylander, a recruiting company specializing in the disaster restoration industry, is recruiting a Construction Manager for a full-service disaster restoration company located in Winterset, IA.

    Construction Manager Compensation and Benefits:

    • $85,000 (DOE) + Commission

    The Construction Manager will be responsible for successfully running the construction department and project managers through the construction phase based on design and project schedules. The Construction Manager will be responsible for the growth and oversight of the construction division. This role will provide direction and coordination of all field activities related to the estimators, coordinators, vendors, insurance carrier representatives, and trade partners.

    Construction Manager Responsibilities:

    • Develop and manage project plans, including budget, schedule, and quality control measures.
    • Collaborate with clients, stakeholders, architects, engineers, and contractors to develop project
    • requirements, scope, and goals.
    • Review job profitably and analyze financial reports pertaining to the Construction department
    • Conduct site visits to assess project progress, quality, and safety.
    • Identify and manage project risks, including changes to scope, schedule, and budget.
    • Manage project budgets, including tracking expenses, forecasting costs, and making budget
    • adjustments as necessary.
    • Ensure that all work complies with applicable regulations, codes, and standards.
    • Coordinate with project teams to ensure that work is completed on time, within budget, and to the
    • required quality standards.
    • Monitor project progress, and provide regular updates to clients, stakeholders, and project teams.
    • Communicate with subcontractors to ensure that all parties are informed of project status and any
    • changes to the project plan.
    • Ensure that all project activities are conducted in accordance with company policies and procedures.
    • Manage project close-out activities, including final inspections, punch lists, and warranty work.
    • Foster positive relationships with clients, stakeholders, and project teams.
    • Maintain an accurate logging of all relevant communication pertaining to each job file and ensures
    • compliance with accounting and administrative teams.
    • Responsible for tracking costs and creating change orders for added work from customer needs/wants.
    • Perform other tasks as assigned.

    Construction Manager Requirements:

    • Financial Management experience
    • Valid Driver license
    • Oral and written communication
    • Time management
    • Scheduling skills and experience
    • Ability to troubleshoot and problem solve
    • Possess good organization and verbal communication skills
    • Knowledge of permits and inspection process
    • Ability to run projects simultaneously at different construction phases
