    Job Description: Nelson Group is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Project Coordinator to join our dynamic team. This role focuses on managing the administrative and logistical aspects of our residential development projects, ensuring smooth operations and successful completion.

    In addition to coordinating project timelines, permitting, and documentation, this role includes support for interior design elements to ensure that each project aligns with Nelson Group’s high-quality standards. The ideal candidate will act as a key liaison between senior management, subcontractors, vendors, and property owners, ensuring all aspects of our developments are executed with efficiency and precision.

    Key Responsibilities:

    Collaborate with senior management to understand their vision and design preferences.

    Develop and present design concepts, including layout plans, color schemes, and material selections.

    Oversee the execution of interior design projects from concept to completion.

    Ensure compliance with building codes in design and project execution.

    Apply for and secure local building permits as needed for each project, ensuring timely approval to meet construction schedules.

    Manage project timelines, ensuring that all projects are completed on time and within scope.

    Supervise on-site work to ensure that the design plans are followed accurately.

    Assist in day-to-day questions from Architects, Engineers and Contractors pertaining to building specifics, plan preparation, permitting and schedule.

    Provide regular updates to senior management on project progress.

    Create, track, log, and file all contract documents including subcontract agreements, lien waivers, COI, and closeout documents, ensuring compliance with company policies and project requirements.

    Oversee utility company service applications.

    Schedule and coordinate client-requested adjustments related to properties purchased from Nelson Group, serving as the primary point of contact for property owners

    Coordinate with subcontractors, vendors, and suppliers to ensure timely delivery of materials and services.

    Qualifications:

    Bachelor’s degree in applicable discipline

    Minimum of 3 years of experience in construction project coordination or related field, preferably in residential real estate development.

    Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

    Excellent planning and organizational skills with demonstrated attention to detail and success in juggling a multitude of responsibilities.

    Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.

    Familiarity with the Boston area and local subcontractors is a plus.
