Construction Project Engineer - Luxury Home GC - Base Salary to 55.00/hour - Santa Barbara, CA

• Our client is Luxury Residential GC that has been in business for 48 years and is one of the most respected full service residential builders in Santa Barbara County. With their commitment to an unparalleled standard of quality and craftsmanship, they strive to provide a custom home building experience that exceeds their client’s expectations and turns their vision into reality.
• Currently they are seeking a Construction Project Engineer with a Construction Management degree or similar. This position provides great opportunity for hands-on experience as the job requires work in field office, daily on-site involvement.

Responsibilities:

• Reading and interpreting plans; developing RFIs
• Examining subcontractor bids
• Developing detailed subcontractor scope outlines
• Coordinating site visits in the field with supervisors, subcontractors/suppliers
• Coordinating meetings with supervisor, project manager, client, consultants, etc.
• Ability to compose clear, professional emails; communicate effectively

Qualifications:

• 1 + years of residential/commercial or related construction experience in the Santa Barbara area (Montecito, Hope Ranch, Santa Ynez, etc.)
• Must have a Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management or similar field.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, Outlook, and be able to use other computer programs as needed.
• Must live in a commutable distance to Santa Barbara.

Compensation:

• Base salary in the 40.00 - 55.00/hour range
• Overtime (time and a half)
