We need someone with strong math skills and excellent communication skills to write proposals, cost estimates, and detailed takeoffs on our construction projects. Responsibilities: • Supply accurate and clear quantity takeoff information to provide a detailed list of materials and assess the total construction costs • Collaborate with the construction project manager to oversee and coordinate the bid process for vendors and subcontractors • Compute labor, construction materials, time, and product costs to estimate overall cost for construction projects • Evaluate proposals, specifications, blueprints, and construction documents to understand the project as a whole • Prepare estimates, written proposals, budgets, costs, and updates for clients and project managers Qualifications: • Excellent project management, time-management, and communication skills are necessary • Analytical skills, critical thinking, and very strong math skills are essential • A Bachelors’ degree in construction management, civil engineering, accounting, or a related field is required • Knowledge of data and risk analysis, research methodology, accounting, and estimation metrics is critical • Three years of experience in the construction industry - project estimating or construction management is needed Compensation: $65,000 - $80000 yearly
