Role Overview:
As the Construction Project Manager, you will be responsible for leading and executing construction projects from pre-construction planning to final completion. Your expertise in construction methods, scheduling, and team coordination will ensure projects are delivered on time, on budget, and meet the highest quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Project Oversight: Plan, coordinate, and supervise all aspects of construction projects—managing schedules, budgets, and resources.
Scheduling & Planning: Develop detailed project schedules and monitor key milestones to ensure timely progress.
Precon-to-Completion Management: Oversee the entire lifecycle of projects—from initial bidding and permits to final walkthroughs.
Contract Negotiation: Collaborate with vendors and suppliers, securing favorable terms and ensuring contract compliance.
Regulatory Compliance: Obtain necessary permits and uphold all building and safety regulations.
Budget Management: Accurately estimate costs, track spending, and maintain financial control of the project.
Team Coordination: Lead subcontractors, external partners, and on-site labor, ensuring clear communication and high-quality workmanship.
Progress Reporting: Provide regular updates on project status, budgets, and any emerging risks or issues.
Risk Mitigation: Proactively identify challenges and develop solutions to keep projects on track.
Qualifications:
Experience: Minimum 5 years of Construction Project Management experience; prior Superintendent experience is a plus.
Education/Certification: Project Management Certification preferred (e.g., PMP).
Technical Skills:
Expert ability to read and interpret blueprints, construction documents, and building codes.
Proficient in Microsoft Excel and construction management software.
Advanced understanding of construction methods, building products, and relevant regulations.
Leadership & Problem-Solving: Strong supervisory and crisis-resolution capabilities.
Organizational Skills: Aptitude for breaking large projects into manageable steps and coordinating multiple stakeholders.
