Responsibilities: • Plan and schedule the entire construction project, including construction operations and timelines to make sure project deadlines are met • Determine the project deliverables and specifications, including the project scope, necessary project resources, and estimated labor needed by collaborating with clients, engineers, and architects • Work with general contractors, critical subcontractors, and external vendors to negotiate profitable contracts • Put organizational systems into place to ensure tools, vehicles, and equipment are well-maintained, and schedule maintenance if needed • Communicate the status of the building project to key stakeholders by providing regular progress reports • Initiate and maintain relationships with owners and other contacts to facilitate project activities • Works with superintendents and foreman to plan, organize, and direct activities related to construction projects • Assists with estimating potential projects • Establish project objectives, policies, procedures, and performance standards within the boundaries of company policy and contract specifications. Confer with supervisors and foreman to discuss such matters as work procedures, complaints, and construction problems • Monitor and control project through administrative direction on-site foreman to ensure project is completed on schedule and within budget • Investigate potentially serious situations and implement corrective measures • Represent the company in project meetings and attend Gov. meetings • Works closely with the Contracts Administrator and Financial Controller • Procure supplies and materials to complete the project • Interpret and explain plans and contract terms to administrative staff, workers, and clients • Update project schedules • Schedules and assigns workers to construction sites to work on specific projects • Proactively develops relationships with the subcontractor community • Ensure that every project is managed to maximize customer satisfaction • Ensure the project quality control plan is in effect and followed • Ensure the punch list is completed to the customer’s satisfaction • Submit project change orders to the Contracts Administrator • Complete and distribute meeting minutes • Ensure job processes are followed in accordance with policy • Proactively monitor the progress of the project through updated schedules • Assist the project staff in resolving scope problems with subcontractors • Review to ensure that the safety plan is in place prior to starting work • Ensure that the field staff is administrating the safety plan • Closely monitors Superintendent’s, SSHO’s, and QC’s to ensure all contract specifications, schedules, and budgets are met/maintained • Review of subcontractor billings/SOV • Prepare billing for the Client Qualifications: • Four-year college degree in engineering, construction management, or other similar fields • Minimum 1 year of work experience in construction management • Completed training for OSHA 30 license • Knowledge of the construction industry and the entire building process, including building permits, blueprints, building codes, construction equipment, material resources, construction methods, and project management principles • Experience using construction or project management software preferred • MUST HAVE FEDERAL/DOD EXPERIENCE Compensation: $100,000 - $125,000
