The Construction Project Manager will be an integral part of the local team in Midland, TX. The Construction Project Manager will be responsible for planning, driving, and supervising construction projects from start to finish. Our clients' Construction Project Managers are the “CEOs of each project,” so you must have a sharp mind for business and proven success in leadership. The Construction Project Managers are the representatives of our clients' team by constantly communicating with upper management, superintendents, subcontractors, owners, architects, and engineers. The Construction Project Manager will determine the resources needed from start to finish with a strong attention to budgetary limitations.
Responsibilities:
Planning, organizing, and evaluating the construction project according to the assigned schedule and given specifications.
Must have a working knowledge of Superintendent Duties.
Must have a working knowledge of Estimating Duties:
Scope & specifications
Code analysis
Detailed plan evaluation
Creating schedule of values
Building each project schedule.
Finding and Vetting Subcontractors and Suppliers.
Coordinate Bonding Information.
Laying out needed permits and assisting superintendents with obtaining them as required.
Pre-construction and Organization of Project.
Working with our Estimators on Material Takeoffs and Material Ordering.
Construction Operations.
Project specification and Detail Confirmation.
Change Order Coordination.
Superintendent Coordination.
Submittals.
Client walkthroughs.
Qualifications:
Bachelor of Science in Construction Management, Engineering (or related degree) is highly desired for this role.
Candidate should have a minimum of 5+ years as a Construction Project Manager on new-build commercial, industrial, or multifamily projects ranging from $5m - $20m dollars.
Strong experience with Construction Software i.e. Procore, Sage, Bluebeam, CAD, etc.
Candidate should have experience supervising projects that involve structural steel, concrete/foundations, Pre-Engineered Metal Buildings (PEMB) and more.
Ability to review drawings and specifications to become completely familiar with the project and identify long lead times and critical path items.
Must have experience building schedules and budgets for all trades including site-work, utilities, civil applications, curb & gutter, paving, MEP’s, framing, roofing, etc.
The ability to travel up to 3+ hours to jobsites within West and Central Texas as needed.
Compensation:
Base salary in the 100k - 150k/year range
Project-based and annual bonus opportunities.
