The Project Manager is responsible for the entire project from project award to completion. PM is responsible for ensuring client requirements and company standards are met or exceeded. PM must be able to oversee technical responsibilities as well as global management of the project. PM must be able to work in a team environment and give clear directive to overall project team, while developing good working relationship with clients, vendors, sub-contractors, and employees.
Responsibilities:
Planning, directing, and coordinating of Structural Steel Project
Development of Pre-Construction Schedule and Erection Burn Rate
Selecting, hiring, and overseeing the work performed by Sub-Contractor or Employees
Overseeing the construction workers and their immediate supervisors
Ensuring that the project is completed within a specified time
Determining the labor requirements
Ensuring that the construction work is completed on schedule in conjunction with the Site Superintendent or Field Foreman
Overseeing the delivery of materials, construction tools, and equipment
Coordinate safety inspections with Safety Director
Monitoring the compliance with set regulations and project specifications per AISC
Development of Schedule of Values from Estimator's proposal
Coordinate all document control with project accountants
Oversee overall profitability of the project with burn rate tracking and cost tracking via accounting software
Review and negotiate contracts with clients, and involvement of the legal team, as required
Schedule kick-off meetings with internal team
Schedule pre-erection kick off meeting with erectors and safety personnel
Coordinate shop drawings with in-house engineering department or modeling sub-contractor
Qualifications:
4-year Degree with 5 years of Management Required or 10 years of Commercial Construction/Steel Construction Management
Experience in large structural steel projects
Experience with working with detailers using SDS2 or Tekla, AISC Certifications, AWS D1.1, RCSC, and Scheduling Software
Ability to read structural steel shop drawings
Ability to read architectural and structural plans
Ability to manage multiple projects concurrently
Basic Microsoft Office proficiency
Ability to successfully coordinate with clients and build long term relationships
Salary:
$115,000 - $185,000 / year
Dependent upon experience
Salary includes company truck
