Our client is a family-owned commercial, municipal and industrial Plumbing Company who has been in business for over 50 years. They are searching for a Construction Project Manager who will represent their company, clients and ensure 100% customer satisfaction. The Construction Project Manager is responsible for coordinating all aspects of construction projects including planning, scheduling, managing and keeping projects on track, within budget, in compliance and positioned for timely completion with exceptional quality
Responsibilities:
Ability to read and interpret blueprints and drawings, contract documents and specifications, as well as understand building systems, construction materials, plumbing, design and engineering concepts applicable to water and sewer systems
Coordinate and manage schedules for contractors and field staff ensuring projects are completed on time and within budget
Perform site visits, conduct site surveys and document existing conditions, develop scope of work based on contract documents complete with scope inclusions, exclusions and classifications
Work in collaboration with a network of subcontractors and material suppliers, to guarantee best value pricing, timely estimates and quality of work available on every project
Order material, maintain inventory for stock and project specific items
Familiar with various construction methods including directional boring, backhoe, trenching, confined space entry and excavation
Compile job cost estimates for project bidding, develop budgets and workflow timetables
Responsible for responding to and solving all customer issues and/or concerns regarding projects
Understand safety, compliance and oversee regulations are followed
OSHA 40/Confined Space Entry/Underground Excavation Certifications
Position includes after-hours duties for Emergencies & Scheduled Shut-Downs
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in construction management, civil or mechanical engineer
Plumbing license, construction experience preferred but not required
5+ years successful experience as project manager
Able to analyze problems and strategize for better solutions
Relationship builder with contractors, vendors, customers and team members
Strong computer skills with MS Office
Experience using Foundation software is encouraged but not required
Candidate must be experienced & comfortable in Heavy Industrial Environment
