    We are seeking a high-performing and successful Construction Project Manager to join a public health system in Indiana. This position is full-time, 100% on-site in Indianapolis, IN five days per week. Therefore, the Construction Project Manager must live in the Indianapolis area or be willing to relocate.

    The Construction Project Manager will play a crucial role in overseeing and optimizing our day-to-day operations. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure projects are executed efficiently, safely, and within budget. Your leadership and strategic thinking will be essential in achieving operational excellence and delivering exceptional results to our clients.

    Salary range for this position is $85-95K.

    The Construction Project Manager will ensure all initiatives align with the organization’s regulatory, quality, financial, and operational management goals. This role requires collaboration across multiple departments including Facilities, Security, Safety, Legal, Purchasing, Accounting, and Compliance, to ensure projects meet the organization’s standards for safe, efficient, and effective patient care environments. The Construction Project Manager will be visiting construction sites regularly which involves frequent walking, climbing ladders, and accessing construction sites with inherent risks such as noise, fumes, and dust, requiring adherence to PPE and safety protocols. The individual must handle stress, shifting priorities, and crisis situations while maintaining attention to detail and sound judgment. The Construction Project Manager will also assist with administrative tasks as needed, providing support to the Real Estate and Facilities leadership team.

    Responsibilities:

    • Stay current on healthcare facility design, construction methods, and materials, ensuring the use of best practices.
    • Participate in internal and external meetings to support facility operations and community outreach efforts.
    • Resolve design, construction, and maintenance issues efficiently while optimizing resources and managing costs.
    • Ensure confidentiality and discretion when handling sensitive information related to strategic planning.
    • Integrate quality, performance improvement, and regulatory compliance in all facility planning and design activities.
    • Provide oversight of policies, protocols, and procedures for construction and renovation projects, ensuring adherence to standards.
    • Foster strong relationships with staff, vendors, and senior leaders through regular communication and "Rounds for Outcomes."
    • Develop project requirements, including space programming and specifications, to support competitive bidding and successful negotiations.
    • Manage project teams, oversee budgets, schedules, and construction milestones, and resolve logistical challenges.
    • Coordinate project closeouts, building openings, and public relations initiatives related to real estate and construction projects.

    Experience:

    • BA/BS in interior design, architecture, or construction-related management; significant project management experience may substitute for formal education.
    • 10 years of experience in project development, design, or construction, with 1-3 years in a healthcare environment or as a Project Owner preferred..
    • Proficient in AutoCAD, Revit, or similar graphic tools for at least 2-3 years, with the ability to illustrate project requirements in graphic form.
    • Strong problem-solving, decision-making, and communication skills, with the ability to effectively engage with both internal teams and external vendors.
    • In-depth knowledge of design and construction techniques, scheduling, healthcare building codes, regulations, and construction law.
