Job Summary
The Construction Project Manager is responsible for managing a wide range of functions necessary to obtain and successfully execute construction projects. They are responsible for ensuring a high quality of service in all dealings with customers, clients, subcontractors and resource providers involved in construction services.
Responsibilities:
Customer Satisfaction a. Management of the customer experience and overall customer satisfaction. b. Manage all warranty activities.
Project Planning a. Educate customers on the construction process. b. Identify and document project scope of work. c. Maintain customer and client communications. d. Review estimates. e. Identify any change order or upsell opportunities. f. Obtain customer and client agreement on scope and estimate. g. Ensure proper permits are acquired.
Project Execution a. Review budgets. b. Create project schedule and timeline. c. Identify and qualify subcontractors and resource providers. d. Review subcontractor estimates and confirm the scope is accurate e. Negotiate terms and set expectations with customers and clients.
Requirements
Knowledge of MEP trades
Previous construction management experience
Superb customer service track record
Effective written and oral communication
Intermediate math skills
Experience in restoration and/or construction preferred
Xactimate knowledge preferred
Must have a reliable vehicle and license to conduct site visits
Formal Education/Training
High school diploma/GED
Project Management Professional (PMP) certification preferred
Physical and Work Environment Requirements
Walking and/or standing throughout the day. Frequent driving and sitting. Occasionally climbing ladders. The employee is occasionally exposed to extreme conditions such as heat. The noise level at individual jobsites can be loud.
Working Hours
This is a full-time position, working 7:30 a.m.–4:00 p.m., Monday–Friday.
Occasional after hours work on a case-by-case basis.
