    Position Title: Construction Project Manager

    The Construction Project Manager position is to manage all aspects and activities associated with Company construction projects and installations ensuring timely completion, administration of attendant budgets, selection, management, and performance of respective contractors and sub-contractors. To serve as the central contact point and liaison between sales, engineering, procurement, production, leadership, and the customer by reporting and effective communication of project status and or operational concerns. The position will execute this purpose by directly supporting the mission and values of Company, being guided in their decision-making and behaviors toward achieving the common goals of the organization.

    • Manages the execution and conduct of multiple construction projects in the utmost professional manner. The project manager ensures project success through effective cost control, project schedule, revenue management, and the effective management of all contractors and subcontractors.
    • Direct all field operations relative to projects and report on the progress of each stage of said projects to both the Stuppy team and the customer
    • Controls all phases of the project life cycle to include but not necessarily be limited to contract management, project planning and scheduling, scoping documents, design reviews and timetables, licensing and permits, and necessary material management.
    • Identifying viable contractors, setting and communicating performance standards, contract terms and budgetary limitations, and delivery requirements
    • Weekly and monthly reporting: project progress, budget performance, timelines, disputes or charges, cost overruns, etc.
    • Works closely with engineering, sales, and accounting on project scope, materials, purchasing, and installation, etc.
    • Manages interim billing activity attendant to the progress of projects and the attainment of construction or delivery benchmarks
    • Implements predetermined construction policies, processes, and procedures
    • Tracks and maintains inventory use and levels relevant to projects under one’s management
    • Handles disputes and disagreements among interested parties and refers those either beyond one’s authority or financial limits or those concerning substantive issues that may impact project execution and completion to more senior leaders
    • Additional duties as assigned

    Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

    • Ability to work independently with minimal direct supervisor intervention
    • Excellent organizational skills and ability to streamline processes for maximum efficiency
    • Ability to execute numerous projects simultaneously, each at different stages of completion and to do so with frequent interruptions and change orders
    • Capable of identifying problems and pitfalls before they become dangerous to project timelines and budgets
    • Identify and resolve unexpected problems, escalated issues, or create innovative solutions at one’s own initiative and within the bounds of their authority
    • Technology aptitude and familiarity with various project scheduling and management applications and advanced skill using Microsoft Office Suite of products; CAD know-how would be helpful and preferred
    • Experience understanding financial reports and filings especially relative to cost management, cash flow, and net profit
    • Previous experience administering vendor service agreements and managing outside contractors
    • Excellent communication skills including telephone, email, and report writing
    • Comfort working remotely and on-site maintaining constant contact with all projects under their direction
    • Collaborative interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively with associates at all levels of the organization, customers, and external parties
    • Strong self-accountability and capability to remain focused always ensuring efficient execution
    • Ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines subject to changing priorities and other adjustments beyond one’s control or outside their sphere of authority
    • Detailed orientation and a strong sense of urgency
    • Ability to recognize improvement opportunities and willing to take initiative to make things better
    • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, business, or other applicable degree program or equivalent years of prior project management, planning experience
