Responsibilities: • Negotiate profitable agreements with external vendors, contractors, and critical subcontractors • Manage general contractors and construction workers and give guidance as needed to ensure high-quality project performance • Keep key stakeholders informed of the project’s status by producing frequent progress reports • Comply with all best-practice health and safety standards to prevent injuries and slowdowns at construction sites, and promptly report any safety regulation issues • Establish organizational processes for tools, equipment, and vehicles and arrange for maintenance as needed Project Planning, Scheduling and Bidding: • Develop comprehensive project plans that include project scope, schedule, budget, and resources. • Coordinate with architects, engineers, subcontractors, and suppliers to establish project timelines and milestones. • Create competitive bids and submit all required paperwork Budget Management: • Estimate costs and ensure projects are completed within budget constraints. • Monitor project expenses and implement cost-saving measures as needed. Resource Management: • Allocate resources effectively and ensure their availability throughout the project lifecycle. • Supervise and mentor project team members and subcontractors. Quality Control and Assurance: • Ensure construction activities comply with design specifications and regulatory standards. • Implement quality assurance processes to minimize defects and rework. Risk Management: • Identify potential risks and develop mitigation plans. • Address any issues or delays promptly to prevent escalation. Client Relations: • Act as the main point of contact for clients and stakeholders. • Provide regular project updates and address client concerns professionally. Safety and Compliance: • Ensure adherence to safety protocols and regulatory requirements. • Promote a culture of safety awareness among team members and subcontractors. **Documentation and Reporting:** • Maintain accurate project documentation, including contracts, change orders, and progress reports. • Prepare and present regular progress reports to management and stakeholders. Qualifications: • Excellent time-management, organizational, leadership, and communication skills • College degree (Bachelor’s) in construction management, engineering, or another relevant field • One year of previous experience as a construction project manager required • PMP certification is a plus • Finished training for OSHA 30 license • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field (Master’s degree preferred). • Proven experience as a Construction Project Manager or similar role in the construction industry. • In-depth knowledge of construction processes, materials, and legal regulations. • Strong leadership and communication skills. • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. • Proficiency in project management software/estimating software. • Certification in Project Management (PMP) is a plus.
