    Job Summary The Commercial/Civil Construction Project Manager oversees and coordinates all aspects of commercial or civil construction projects, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards. This role involves managing project schedules, budgets, and resources while maintaining compliance with safety regulations and fostering positive client relationships.

    Key Responsibilities

    Project Planning and Development:

    Develop comprehensive project plans, including scope, budget, and schedules.

    Define project objectives, deliverables, and performance standards.

    Collaborate with clients, architects, engineers, and other stakeholders.

    Budget and Cost Management:

    Prepare and manage project budgets, ensuring cost efficiency.

    Monitor expenses, approve invoices, and manage change orders.

    Analyze financial performance and recommend cost-saving measures.

    Schedule Management:

    Develop and maintain detailed project schedules.

    Monitor progress and make adjustments to timelines as needed.

    Coordinate with subcontractors and suppliers to ensure timely delivery.

    Team Coordination:

    Lead project teams, including subcontractors, consultants, and site supervisors.

    Conduct regular meetings to communicate goals, expectations, and progress.

    Resolve conflicts and provide guidance to ensure project success.

    Quality and Compliance:

    Ensure all work complies with local building codes, safety regulations, and project specifications.

    Conduct regular site inspections and quality control checks.

    Implement safety protocols and ensure adherence by all personnel.

    Client Relationship Management:

    Serve as the primary point of contact for clients.

    Provide regular project updates and address concerns proactively.

    Build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders.

    Qualifications

    Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).

    Proven experience (5+ years) in commercial or civil construction project management.

    Proficiency in construction project management software (e.g., Procore, Microsoft Project).

    Strong understanding of construction processes, materials, and methods.

    Excellent organizational, leadership, and communication skills.

    Ability to interpret construction drawings, contracts, and specifications.

    PMP or similar certification is a plus.

    Key Competencies

    Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

    Knowledge of OSHA and local safety regulations.

    Work Environment

    Combination of office and on-site work, with occasional travel to project locations.
