    Job Summary: The Commercial/Civil Construction Project Superintendent oversees and manages all aspects of construction projects from start to finish, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and according to specifications. This role involves supervising on-site activities, coordinating subcontractors and workers, ensuring safety protocols are followed, and maintaining high-quality standards. MUST BE WILLING TO TRAVEL WITHIN THE SOUTHEAST.

    Key Responsibilities:

    Project Planning and Execution:

    Oversee daily on-site operations to ensure adherence to project plans and schedules.

    Review blueprints, specifications, and contracts to understand project scope and requirements.

    Schedule and coordinate subcontractors, materials, and equipment deliveries.

    Team Supervision and Coordination:

    Direct and supervise construction crews, subcontractors, and suppliers.

    Foster clear communication between project managers, architects, engineers, and other stakeholders.

    Conduct daily site meetings to ensure alignment on project objectives and schedules.

    Quality Assurance and Compliance:

    Inspect work progress and completed phases to ensure compliance with design specifications and quality standards.

    Enforce compliance with local, state, and federal construction regulations and safety standards.

    Identify and address potential issues to avoid delays or quality concerns.

    Safety Management:

    Ensure adherence to company safety policies and procedures.

    Conduct safety inspections and toolbox talks regularly.

    Investigate and report on-site accidents or incidents promptly.

    Resource Management:

    Monitor and manage on-site inventory of materials and tools.

    Optimize resource allocation to ensure efficient use of labor and materials.

    Collaborate with procurement teams to manage supply chain logistics.

    Reporting and Documentation:

    Maintain accurate project documentation, including daily logs, progress reports, and change orders.

    Provide regular updates to project managers and stakeholders.

    Assist with project close-out processes, including punch lists and as-built documentation.

    Qualifications and Skills:

    Education and Experience:

    Minimum of 5 years of experience in commercial and/or civil construction.

    Proven experience managing large-scale projects with multiple stakeholders.

    Technical Skills:

    Proficiency in construction management software (e.g., Procore, Bluebeam, PlanGrid).

    Strong understanding of construction methods, materials, and codes.

    Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and contracts.

    Soft Skills:

    Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.

    Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.

    Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.

    Work Environment:

    Primarily on-site at construction locations with potential exposure to outdoor conditions.

    May require extended hours, including evenings and weekends, depending on project schedules.
