Job Title: Civil/Commercial Superintendent
Location: Southeastern US
Job Summary: We are seeking a seasoned and highly motivated Superintendent with strong civil and commercial construction experience, who is willing to travel throughout the southeastern US (company paid). This role is responsible for the on-site supervision of all phases of construction projects across multiple locations, ensuring that projects are completed on time, within scope, and to the highest quality and safety standards.
Travel is Company paid with Per Diem & vehicle Allowances.
Key Responsibilities: • Manage day-to-day operations on active job sites across various locations. • Supervise field crews, subcontractors, and vendors to ensure work is being completed safely, on schedule, and according to specifications. • Coordinate sitework activities including grading, utilities, foundations, paving, and related civil scopes. • Act as the primary on-site contact for project managers, clients, inspectors, and local authorities. • Maintain accurate records of inspections, deliveries, manpower, and materials. • Read and interpret blueprints, shop drawings, and specifications to guide construction activities. • Identify and resolve field conflicts or delays proactively. • Ensure quality control throughout all phases of construction. • Travel and remain on-site for the duration of assigned projects.
Qualifications: • 5+ years of superintendent experience in civil/commercial construction. • Proven track record of managing ground-up and site development projects. • Strong knowledge of civil construction techniques (earthwork, utilities, paving) and commercial structures. • Proficient with construction management software, scheduling tools (e.g., Procore, Microsoft Project, or similar). • Ability to interpret construction plans, specs, and contracts. • Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills. • OSHA 30 certification required; First Aid/CPR preferred. • Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel extensively (75%+ travel expected).
