    The Role We Want You For

    The Site Materials Manager will support Clayco’s procurement team to plan, direct, and coordinate the activities of procurement of material, equipment, and tools for an assigned project within the Clayco Enterprise. The Site Materials Manager will provide status updates related to schedule and budget throughout the project.

    The Specifics of the Role

    • Responsible for efficiently managing the acquisition, storage, and distribution of specific materials for the project
    • Schedule deliveries to support project needs
    • Assist in labeling and asset tracking of all material and equipment on site
    • Maintain records to monitor, track and generate reports.
    • Coordinate with Clayco’s procurement team on orders and project needs
    • Create and document receipts of incoming orders.
    • Identify, address, and communicate non-conforming materials and Overages, Shortages and Damages on Shipment Receipt’s with discrepancies to related personnel.
    • Perform material cycle counts, verification and package optimization and priority.
    • Collaborate with Clayco’s procurement team on discrepancies or issues related to all order receipts and invoices, returns, and exchanges.
    • Maintain good communication and relationships with vendors and delivery companies.
    • Track and request outstanding material orders needed for project.
    • Assist in identifying and exploring new material opportunities to recommend to Clayco management as new business opportunities.
    • Responsible for project materials from initiation to close
    • Communicate with the project team and stakeholders, manage risks and issues, monitor progress to ensure that the project stays on schedule.
    • Additional duties as assigned

    Requirements

    • 2+ years in a managerial warehouse role.
    • 5+ years warehouse experience.
    • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management or Engineering preferred.
    • Strong knowledge of construction principles/practices required.
    • Excellent problem-solving skills, with an adaptable and flexible style in working with all types of individuals.
    • Knowledge of estimating and quantity takeoff software.
    • Strong computer skills.
    • Creative and results-oriented, with a strong sense of urgency.
    • Successful internships or Project Engineering experience is a plus.
    • Highly entrepreneurial and self-motivated, with the ability to work equally well on own as well as in a team environment.
    • Ability to walk a job site and climb ladders.
