We are looking for an experienced construction superintendent who can lead our labor crew and subcontractors. You'll help our construction company plan and manage projects from start to finish for homeowners. Additional responsibilities include daily scheduling, maintaining the safety and compliance of a construction site, and supervising all activities. Responsibilities: • Oversee and coordinate all on-site construction activities across multiple projects. • Supervise project superintendents, foremen, and crews to ensure compliance with project plans, specifications, safety regulations, and timelines. • Develop and maintain project schedules, adjusting as necessary to address unforeseen delays or issues. • Ensure strict adherence to safety standards, conducting regular safety audits and meetings to maintain a safe work environment. • Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and subcontractors to ensure smooth project execution and address any challenges. • Review and approve work progress, ensuring that all work is performed in accordance with contract documents and quality standards. • Resolve any field issues that may arise, including scheduling conflicts, resource shortages, or technical challenges. • Oversee labor, equipment, and material usage to ensure optimal efficiency and cost control. • Conduct regular site visits to monitor progress and provide on-site leadership and problem-solving • Ensure timely and accurate reporting on project status, including updates on budgets, schedules, and any deviations from the plan. • Build and maintain positive relationships with clients, ensuring their satisfaction with project progress and outcomes. Qualifications: • Minimum of 5 years of experience in civil construction, with at least 5 years in a leadership or supervisory role. • Proven track record of managing multiple large-scale projects simultaneously, particularly in asphalt, concrete, and stormwater. • Strong knowledge of construction techniques, equipment, and safety regulations (OSHA standards). • Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and manage a large field team. • Ability to read and interpret construction plans, specifications, and contract documents. • Proficiency in project management software and tools. • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to make decisions quickly in the field. • Valid driver’s license and ability to travel to job sites throughout Maryland, Washington D.C., and Virginia. Compensation: $75,000 - $110,000 yearly
