Our construction company is seeking an experienced construction professional with excellent leadership skills. If you're good at managing general contractors, hiring subcontractors, and maintaining safety and compliance at a construction site, then you might be perfect as our next construction superintendent. Our ideal candidate has 5 years of construction field experience and can supervise all site activities and maintain safety compliance at all times. Responsibilities: • Maintain a daily record of project progress and home repair updates for the project manager and the homeowner • Ensure that each construction project produces a high-quality finished product, manage construction workers, conduct routine on-site inspections, and provide guidance as needed • Consult with the project's stakeholders to ensure that the project remains within budget • Minimize injuries and delays on building projects by requiring complete attention to health and safety standards, and report any issues to the project manager when they occur • Begin preparing a formal plan for homeowners that has a cost estimate for the job Qualifications: • Strong communication, organizational, leadership, and time-management skills • Basic computer skills and ability to use Microsoft Office • Must have general contractor license • At least 5 years of previous experience as a general contractor required, preferably with some additional managerial experience • Possesses a deep understanding of the construction industry and the entire building process, including building codes, permits, construction equipment, material resources, project management principles, and construction methods Compensation: $25 - $30 hourly
