Position: Construction Superintendent, Commercial Roofing

Location: Birmingham, AL

Salary: $75,000 - $85,000 DOE + bonus + excellent benefits

Our client is one of the top commercial roofing contractors servicing the Gulf Coast and is looking for a top-notch Superintendent who can work on their most important commercial projects in and around Birmingham, AL. They are a growing and well-established commercial roofing company. They are interested in highly-motivated and proactive individuals to fill their open role of Superintendent. This role is an urgent need, and qualified contacts will be contacted ASAP!

Requirements For Commercial Construction Superintendent:

• 7+ years of experience working as a construction Superintendent for a commercial roofing contractor or commercial general contractor.
• Must not have felony convictions to obtain clearance to enter educational buildings and federal facilities and a clean driving record to be allowed to use company vehicles.
• Must be able to work on-site with little supervision
• Knowledge of all phases of the building construction process including pre-construction through closeout.
• Ability to use the technology provided by the company (Plan Grid, One Drive share points, email, iPhone, iPad, etc.).
• Excellent time management skills.
• Great interpersonal and communication skills.

Job Responsibilities:

• The Superintendent is primarily responsible for helping manage the projects assigned to them and ensuring their execution is successful from start to finish.
• Reviewing contract documents, plans, specifications, submittals, shop drawings, engineering calculations, and project notifications to successfully direct the construction of the project, identify errors and problem areas, and design solutions accordingly.
• Understanding project estimates and cost data to effectively direct and supervise the project to a profitable outcome.
• Defining the construction sequence and ensuring its implementation.
• Oversee all phases of a roofing and wall panel construction project from initial planning to successful and timely completion.
• Ensure all General Contractor and Architect Punch lists are completed effectively, efficiently, and in compliance with the company’s Quality Assurance.
