Hood Construction is currently seeking a skilled and experienced Construction Superintendent.
As a Construction Superintendent at Hood Construction, you will be responsible for overseeing all on-site aspects of construction projects. You will work closely with project managers, subcontractors, and other team members to ensure that projects are completed according to plan, within budget, and on schedule. Your leadership and expertise will be critical in maintaining safety standards, quality control, and effective communication across the project site.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage all on-site construction activities.
- Ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
- Coordinate and supervise subcontractors, suppliers, and site staff.
- Review and interpret project plans, specifications, and schedules.
- Monitor progress and make adjustments as necessary to stay on schedule.
- Maintain a safe and secure work environment, ensuring compliance with all safety regulations.
- Conduct regular site inspections and address any issues promptly.
- Communicate effectively with project managers, clients, and stakeholders.
- Prepare and submit daily, weekly, and monthly reports on project status.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Construction Superintendent in commercial construction.
- Strong knowledge of construction processes, codes, and regulations.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, plans, and specifications.
- Proficiency in project management software and construction technology.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make quick decisions.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
- Valid driver's license and willingness to travel to job sites as needed.
Education & Experience:
- Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in construction supervision or a related role.
