  • Responsibilities

    We are seeking an experienced Construction Superintendent to join a growing team in the DFW area. The ideal candidate will have 5-10 years of experience managing ground-up construction projects, specifically large-scale grocery stores. The candidate should possess tilt-up construction experience and have a track record of stability and strong tenure in their previous roles (3+ years at each employer). Experience in healthcare construction is a plus.

    As a Construction Superintendent, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the construction site, ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Manage and coordinate all activities on the construction site, ensuring adherence to schedules, budgets, and safety protocols.
    • Supervise and direct subcontractors, labor crews, and other site personnel. Ensure that all workers comply with safety regulations and quality standards.
    • Lead the tilt-up construction process, including wall panel fabrication, installation, and related tasks. Ensure structural integrity and quality of work.
    • Conduct regular inspections to monitor the quality of workmanship and resolve any issues that may arise during construction.
    • Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, architects, engineers, and other stakeholders. Provide regular updates on project progress and address any concerns.
    • Proactively identify potential issues and implement solutions to keep the project on track.
    • Track project expenses and timelines. Take corrective action as needed to ensure projects stay within budget and meet deadlines.
    • Ensure compliance with all OSHA safety regulations and company safety policies. Promote a culture of safety on-site.

    Qualifications:

    • Minimum of 5-10 years of experience as a Construction Superintendent with a focus on large ground-up retail projects.
    • Proven experience with tilt-up construction methods and processes.
    • Proficient in construction management software (e.g., Procore, Bluebeam, etc.).
    • Strong employment history with 3+ years at previous employers.
    • Healthcare construction experience is a plus but not required.
    • Strong leadership and management skills.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and construction documents.
    • Solid understanding of construction scheduling and budgeting.
    • Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.

    Preferred Qualifications:

    • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field (preferred, not required).
    • OSHA 30-Hour Certification.
    • Experience with large-scale commercial and/or retail construction projects.
  • Compensation
    $110,000-$150,000 per year
