Servpro Team Bisig is a leader in disaster restoration, specializing in the reconstruction of residential and commercial properties damaged by fire, water, storms, and other disasters. We work closely with insurance companies and property owners to restore properties to their pre-loss condition with efficiency, quality, and professionalism.
Job Summary:
We are seeking a Construction Superintendent to oversee and manage the reconstruction of properties damaged by disasters. This role requires a hands-on leader with experience in residential and commercial construction, the ability to coordinate multiple projects, and a strong focus on quality control and customer satisfaction. The ideal candidate has experience working with insurance-related projects and is familiar with Xactimate, DASH, and Microsoft Office Suite.
Responsibilities:
Project Management & Site Supervision:
Oversee all aspects of construction projects from start to completion.
Manage subcontractors and in-house crews, ensuring work is completed on time and to quality standards.
Coordinate and schedule construction activities, inspections, and project timelines.
Ensure compliance with all local building codes, safety regulations, and company policies.
Address any job site issues and provide problem-solving solutions in real-time.
Conduct regular job site inspections to ensure high-quality workmanship.
Customer & Insurance Coordination:
Work closely with homeowners, property managers, and insurance adjusters to communicate project progress.
Ensure that reconstruction aligns with approved insurance estimates and scopes of work.
Assist with change orders and project modifications as needed.
Estimating & Documentation:
Work with the project management team to review Xactimate estimates and job scopes.
Maintain accurate records, including daily reports, project updates, and job progress photos.
Use DASH, Microsoft Office Suite, and other software tools for documentation and communication.
Team Leadership & Development:
Supervise and mentor construction crews, ensuring adherence to safety and company policies.
Train and develop team members to improve efficiency and craftsmanship.
Foster a team-oriented work environment that prioritizes quality, efficiency, and customer satisfaction.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent; Bachelor’s degree in construction management or related field is a plus.
5+ years of experience in construction supervision, preferably in disaster restoration and reconstruction.
Strong understanding of residential and commercial construction processes, including framing, drywall, flooring, roofing, and finishing.
Experience working with insurance claims and Xactimate estimates is highly preferred.
Proficiency in DASH, Xactimate, and Microsoft Office Suite.
Strong leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to read blueprints, technical drawings, and project plans.
Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
Ability to pass a background check and drug screening.
Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends if needed.
Physical & Work Environment Requirements:
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs independently and 100 lbs with assistance.
Prolonged periods of standing, walking, climbing ladders, and working in various weather conditions.
Exposure to job site hazards, dust, fumes, and noise.
Occasional requirement to wear PPE, including hard hats, gloves, and respirators.
