    • HRTC Technology is seeking an Epic Healthy Planet Consultant.

    Weekly Scheduled Hours:

    Position Duration:

    Long Term Contract (12 - 20 months)

    Purpose

    HRTC Technology is seeking an Epic Consultant - Healthy Planet which will provide workflow analysis, optimization, application build, testing and implementation of Epic System software related to Healthy Planet and Compass Rose applications. This position includes working with Project Management groups, key stakeholders, vendors, contactors,
    and end users regularly. and end users regularly.

    Responsibilities

    • Lead the initial planning and design phases of the Healthy Planet module implementation.
    • Configure the Healthy Planet module to align with the specific needs of the healthcare organization, including workflows, documentation processes, and integrations with other Epic modules.
    • Conduct thorough testing and validation of the system before go-live, ensuring it meets quality and performance standards. Collaborates with technical colleagues to help identify any infrastructure related issues that have resulted in clinical application issues.
    • Work closely with gastroenterologists, endoscopy nurses, IT staff, and other Epic analysts to ensure seamless integration and alignment.

    Skills and Experience

    • Epic Healthy Planet Certification Required
    • Some project management experience is preferred.
    • Minimum two years’ Epic work experience after certification.
    • Familiarity with case or care management workflows and wellness programs
    • Familiarity with or background in quality reporting initiatives such as PQRS, ACOs/MSSP, and MU
    • Familiarity with health plan concepts and workflows
    • Strong understanding of population health management principles and practices.
    • Knowledge of Epic Care Everywhere, SmartForms, Meaningful Use, and Specialty Modules, Marketing, Demonstrations, and Procedure orders.
    • Familiarity with Epic tools: Integration with patient and provider outreach tools, and MyChart
    • Familiarity with clinical care management, Foundation System/CMS ACO quality measures, Happy Together Longitudinal Plan of Care, Roster Management Engine scope
    • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
    • Strong communication skills, written and verbal.
    • Highly organized, able to multi-task as well as maintain intense focus on individual tasks.
    • Self-starter with ability to maintain schedule, meet deadlines, and monitor one’s own work product.

    Required Qualifications

    • Active Epic Healthy Planet Certification
    • Demonstrates a strong understanding of IT principles, software development, and system analysis, typically evidenced by a Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
    • Possesses practical experience in healthcare IT environments and strong knowledge of clinical information systems, clinical informatics, data management and administration, generally shown through at least 5 years of relevant experience in healthcare IT or Epic systems.
    • Experience and proven success in information systems implementation, development and support within a large-scale healthcare organization.
    • Relevant education and experience may be substituted as appropriate.

    Preferred Qualifications

    • Extensive experience with clinical information systems, typically demonstrated by at least 5-7 years of relevant experience.
    • Demonstrated experience as a major participant in EHR configuration and implementations.
    • Experience with online scheduling design and implementation.
