We are seeking a talented and versatile individual to join our team in its Minneapolis office for the summer of 2025 as a Consulting Geology Intern. This intern will have the opportunity to assist in consulting projects involving geology related data analysis and field mapping. Fieldwork opportunities for this position may include up to two weeks of out-of-town travel.

Primary Position Responsibilities:

Itasca Consulting Group, Inc. is looking for a Geology intern to work on assisting with geology related consulting projects. The successful intern would help with field investigation, interpreting geo data, and applying machine learning to interpret geological techniques.

Minimum Requirements:

· Currently enrolled in a geological undergraduate major program or related geology or engineering program.

· Minimum GPA of 3.0/4.0

· Ability to work on-site to accomplish the objectives of the position.

· Willingness to travel and periodically adjust personal schedule to meet project needs (project needs will vary)

· Ability to work independently and in a collaborative, team-based environment.

· Authorization to work in U.S.

Compensation:

The anticipated base hourly range for this position is $22-28 per hour. This is a full-time, short-term temporary internship position based in our Minneapolis office and is classified as non-exempt under the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA). Compensation will vary based upon relevant experience, education, skill level, and other compensable factors.
